Courses will focus on writing in response to literature, and will help students master grade level expectations regarding comprehension, literary analysis, vocabulary, writing strategies and applications.

• Demonstrate critical thinking by supporting a position with organized and relevant evidence
• Use counterarguments to strengthen the writer’s position
